I hope its a great game.
Unfortunatley at the cost of being just so redundant, why does every single game, everyone one either a Rock band or a TV/movie? at FPF I bumped into Mr. Stern and I shouldve just plain asked but of course it completely slipped my mind.
now Im not being critical but it does seem strange, they MUST pay for the rights, I guess the only reason is the fan tie in that is already established.
Ok , thats all, it does just amaze me though.

According to Stern the Foreign distributors only want licensed games, so if they were to present an original theme they'd lose half their sales off the top which they can't afford to do.

Would be interesting to see how JJP did with Dialed In versus its other licensed games.

really? well thats interesting to sy the least. wonder why they have that viewpoint. maybe they feel games need it to attract players in a "cold sale" type of situation.

it's an interesting concept driven by those Euros, as the best games in history were original themes.  :)

I would definitely consider GOTG. if done right it should be a fun pin. Most licensed pins are very successful so they will keep coming. Some original pins are the greatest but most drop off the top 100. I'll be interesting to hear some of the villager's ideas for the next original pin hit. Any ideas?

Its old news that a lion share of sales are in Europe for Stern.  He stated many years ago that risks associated with an original theme and its inability to cover costs if it didn't sell, is too great.  When there were 20 manufacturers of pins you could cover a poor selling game with 6-7 other releases that year.  With only two major players(3-4 games a fiscal year for Stern), handful of high-end boutique manufactures and a smattering of one-offs, I can see his point.

Yeah I don't like the art at all. I guess Disney won't let them use original art or something?

Ghostbusters looked sooo good

Still got to see how it plays. Hopefully they licensed out some music for it.

! No longer available

Gameplay video

Hard to really tell.. not sure if I'm sold on the Groot head but once again we'll have to see how it plays. In my mind a walkman style toy that can be hit to change songs would have been a no-brainer.

Artwork is yeah.. it is what it is. I'm sure Disney restricted them to certain assets which is a bummer. A comic art style version of the movie characters would have been a nice way to circle it back to it's roots.

Once again the music is so integral to the Guardians of the Galaxy that I hope Stern is able to license some of the songs from the soundtrack(s) to bring it altogether.

I agree with the following...

1) music from the GOTG movies 1 and 2 is a must.
2) artwork in a comic book style would be better than Stern photoshop movie stills (my personal liking). I preferred the Spider-Man VE artwork over the photoshopped original Stern.
3) something different to the playfield as they did with Star Wars.

OR... here is Stern facebook page link for a closer look as of 10/31/2017
