F.S. Star Trek the Next Generation
« on: December 17, 2017, 01:25:19 PM »
For sale collector quality STTNG.  The cabinet is perfect with no issues at all.  The inside of the cabinet has also been detailed to look brand new.   The play field is one of the best that I have ever seen.  A bunch of mods have been added.  Pinball Decals Enterprise, Custom painted klingon bird of prey.  Custom Borg Cube which makes the game.  Lasers installed in the canons.  Canons custom painted.  Selective LED's installed.  All original boards.  New bridge rectifiers installed throughout.  Upgraded sound system.  Asking $6500.  I am listing this for a friend.  The game is in Lake Worth, FL. You can contact Larry at 561-827-6303

Did you think or your friend decide this was collector quality? The pics are pretty selective and don’t really show much to highlight the condition. I would recommend better pictures that show the perfect cabinet and other areas of the pin other then the mods.

I am the one who restored the game and I have been restoring games for thirty five years now.  I am new to the Village BBS and couldn't figure out how to post more photos which I have.  Send me your email and I will forward.

i'll PM you. if you send me pics or the gallery, i'll get them all hotlinked right to the post.

CQ is a loosely overused term. some external shots will display if this machine meets those expectations.

from a casual look, the lockdown receiver and some playfield areas don't quite meet the CQ terminology.

just to have a 100% working star trek is a challenge in and of itself...but collectors are nuts. welcome to the collector's forum. :)

Didn't look at all the pics as they were taking too long to load.  I'm sure this is a nice game but you have to be careful using the term collector quality.  In the one pic I did look at the burnt connectors would need to be replaced.  Working or not, collectors won't want burnt connectiors.

Love the game, but this is a little rich for me.

Like K7 said, CQ is pretty much top of the totem pole. If you have a great example show it off. That's a pretty high price, but not unrealistic if the game is a pristine example. The mods are cool, but collectors that are willing to pay a premium are looking for that perfect cabinet, playfield and a game that plays 100%. I'm also a freak about the game being as clean on the inside as outside too, it completes the restoration in my opinion anyway. Digital pics are free, so leading off with CQ claim I just expected a little more to see.

Anyway sorry for calling you out on it. Figured someone else would, but maybe I should just avoid posting on Sundays when my FF team is taking a dump    :( >:(

No to be too picky, here but the Advance Mission plastic is cracked in half and spun round 180%, just to let you know.
This plastic always seems to be cracked and/or missing in this game.

Here are more photos.  I also believe that he might have a brand new unopened plastic set.

New plastics would be nice for sure. Looks like it is still mostly incandescent lighting and has an old worn set of rubbers on it. The PF looks very nice but needs a waxing in the dull areas. I have bought and sold many STTNG pins over the past few years and the most I got out of a modded up super clean one was $4500. Don't know why people don't want to pay more for such a fun game.

decals are clean. it's a nice example of the title, but like clark, I've been through 3 of them (1 HUO i had purchased  from Alonso Mourning, who got it new). i traded that one at a $3300 value about 3 years ago. I think steve naroff purchased the nicest one I've ever seen, he could give a value. :)

good luck with the sale. :)

I actually went to see this pin about 1 month ago. It needed a shop job pretty badly. It's not CQ.

I picked mine up in March of 2011...wow, time flies. Paid 3k. Best playing STTNG, however wasn't a beauty queen. Invested a fair amount to take it to the next level (all new ramps, subway, plastics, painted ships/guns, ColorDMD, custom translite, Pinball bulbs LED's, PDI non-glare glass). Probably have 5-6k in it? Don't really keep track...just my quick recollection.

Even though I was warned about the effort to keep this beast going, it hasn't had one serious malfunction since purchasing it. On the other hand, my NIB AFMr Solenoid Driver blew the first week of ownership. Nothing like new tech:-)

I have no idea what this example is worth in today's market, so I'm not going to speculate. If I tried to sell mine, I'd likely ask 7k in LA. No plans to sell, however. An awesome game...one of SR's best. Unfortunately, it's always been under-loved.
