The Ford Motor Company on Monday posted a surprise third-quarter profit of $997 million and said it had its first profitable quarter in North America in more than four years.

It's hard not to root for Ford since they didn't get gov't bailout money and their commercials are not as d*ish as GM's :)

So Go Ford Go!

Uhoh did their anti-honda "but they make a good lawnmower" commercial make the honda fanboy inside you mad? :)

Ford is by far the most stable of the american car companies, and had been planning on losing money while fixing their shit before the truck/suv market took a dump..

"but they make a good lawnmower" - exactly! i think a humbler tack would be best for them for now... and not showy/ballsy which looks bad for a company in bankruptcy.

I've liked the Focus for a while. The Mercury version of the Fusion is pretty nice. The new SHO is supposed to be rawk. If there was a Ford choice in the parking lot in Chicago I would have taken it. Oh, and their commercials are nice too :)

i'll 2nd that. the GM commercials with Howie come off high and mighty, which is how they shouldn't look currently. maybe a new Chevy will suck less gas than a honda. maybe a new Buick appears to have a nicer interior than a Lexus. those same cars will be worth $4000.00 in 5 years. the honda and lexus will be worth $15000+.

for a broke azz company, GM has a big marketing mouth. ;D

dont' get me wrong, i like some chevy models, and i hate some of the honda designs that came out...i just don't like the new car market at all. new to me is 10 years old.
