« on: August 30, 2018, 06:34:19 PM »
Brought this home from Copart auction yesterday. Will be part of an upcoming project. Im kind of surprised they left all the lettering on it.

We had a used car dealer in the area reselling them without stripping the decals.  I think he got in trouble for it.

i can get the lightbars for those. ;D

you don't buy from miami south, do you? they're scary to bid without viewing the car first...even then, they'll steal stuff post-auction.

i want to score a 1990s ssp FHP coupe mustang:

Nice, it seems like usually if they don't want to mess with removing the stickers they at least spray paint over them.  I picked up a 2007 crown vic from a local police auction not too long ago - it was a bit of an impulse buy as I didn't think I would win at the price I bid.  Surprisingly it only had 77,000 miles, it was a patrol car but early in life was changed for use by detectives and didn't see many miles or idle hours.  They also left the cage, plastic back seat, and push bar, although I swapped out the seat with a real one from the junk yard.  If anyone is interested I'm probably going sell as I never really drive it.

How did you find a picture of my car before it got the light bar removed?   Mine doesn’t have the light bar, and the lightbar I have is too big for it.

I did get this from the south location its a few minutes from my house. I won't be needing light bars I'm removing the body from the frame and mounting a 72 f100 on it. Instant daily driver

Nice let me know when they have more of those auctions

I got it through www.govdeals.com - it looks like most of the local departments use this to get rid of their cars.

If you can read the forum you can figure out Craigslist, constant updates are tedious at best

The Blues Brothers

I realize it's not a 74 Dodge Monaco but it's the thought that counts.

I still remember gas stations that only had 2 pumps - regular and unleaded - when I was a kid. I guess I'm the of the last generation to get WAY too much exposure to lead, though I hear they're bringing that back in parts of Michigan.

Also, have you seen Blues Brothers 2000? It's astonishingly, remarkably, amazingly bad. I mean, it was clearly a sequel that never should have been made, but it's incredible just how bad it is. John Landis still gets director credit, but it's got the stink of a movie where Dan Aykroyd was actually in charge (see also: "Nothing But Trouble" - he wasn't allowed to direct movies after that, at least not officially).
