PFP High scores
« on: November 16, 2018, 08:28:56 PM »
Hat's off to the insane scores that were set on random games.

After getting my games home I feel like a Noob! My name has pretty much been wiped off all my games.

It would be cool if we had something on this forum, to post high scores from FPF.   I am always curious to see where my scores on games rank.
It also seems like it could be a logistical nightmare!  Unless something simple, like game owners just submitting the highest scores/initials to a dedicated thread.
Pins: Iron Maiden, The Addams Family, Simpsons Pinball Party, Fish Tales, Goldeneye, Terminator 2, No Fear
Arcade: Galaga (MAME), Ice Cold Beer, Defender (JROK-multi), Donkey Kong/Donkey Kong Jr

IF game owners submitted, would be the only way I could see this working. I love where you are going with this.
Another option would be to have high scorecards for each game and stick them on the marquee. Ask everyone to fill in their names once a score is saved. At the end of the show, gamer owners confirm the score. Drop the card into a box to be submitted online. Add a tab on FPF website that just says FPF Highscore's with each game and top 3 scores submitted and make it a lifetime list moving forward. Really cool! I would submit any scores on my game's.

I am not resetting any of my games top scores saved. So Joe Mom can see his name is still on Crusi'n next year. LOLOLOL

How many of you tried the amazing games that Adam had online?  those scores are viewable on the 'net.

Another option might be iScored. We just transitioned to it for Flippin' Great Pinball and it's pretty cool. You can view scores online for all kinds of games. Example: https://www.iscored.info/?mode=public&user=FGP

Have attendees take a picture of their score during FGF and tag the event through social media (along with initials). Then an organizer can update the scores throughout the event. You can display the scores on screens during the event and it gives those that can't make it something to look at.

actually, I had set up an iScored for free play just ran out of time to make it go anywhere.

I like this a lot for pinball.  For video the online high score saves is so much cooler because the score is automatically uploaded rather than iScored that relies on the trust system.
