NFL weekly picks wildcard weekend edition
« on: January 03, 2019, 10:34:42 PM »
The regular season is over and this weekend we get all the teams with the worst records who still made the playoffs. They are all better than Tampa though.  ;D

Two games Saturday and two on Sunday with the Eagles vs. Bears game for points.

Available: Batman wearing cape and cowl to kick an onside kick 10 yards. Will work for a punter's salary, since I probably won't have to do more than 1 kick a week, can also try a few field goals... or make me an offer.

That Seattle game sucked. I say it every year but Seattle always screws me. Whoever was calling the plays should be fired.

I think I'll go 60 for this afternoon.

The kickoff was at 4:40 so technically late but didn't matter anyway.

The only two who got 50% were Batman and K7. I don't know what happened with me, I thought for sure I had picked the Chargers and didn't realize until I went to tally everything up. Seattle screwed me as always but why in the hell would I have picked Baltimore over LA?

It came down to Batman and K7 with Bats taking it on points.

Results through week 18, wildcard weekend:

Batman - 1
Centaur Brother - 6
HFK - 6
Steve O - 2
TimothyC - 3

K7 - 1 honorary

.... But what an absolutely horrible shitty weekend of game that was, none of those teams deserved to win, they all sucked. Time to bring on Drew Brees so I can watch some real football, hopefully all the way thru the Super Bowl!

Have to agree these were some crappy games. Not one team this weekend looked like a contender, I think there were some better preseason games.

With only 4 games there weren't as many bad calls but there were a few.

The first 2 playoff weekends usually are to Weed out the riff raff, none of these should make it past the next round... It usually works out the teams with the best records all year are rightfully the last ones standing, so it should end up being Saints/ Rams and Chiefs/ Pat's.

It has been a while since a wild card team made it to the Super Bowl.  That's the way it should be.  The Chargers are the one team I think could do it this year.  They were 8-0 outside of Los Angeles and have to play on the road throughout the playoffs.  The Rams. Saints, and Chiefs do not look unstoppable like they did early in the season.  I have to give the Saints the advantage as they have the home field advantage.
