Wow, what a great night of action! If you think we have seen every decent tournament player in Florida already I am here to say there are more and more out there just waiting to take you down!
We had 19 players - a very good turnout for mid-week. And Daniel made it up from Miami with just 5 minutes to spare. Adding more machines to the tournament was totally the right move because no one played the same game twice in a row. In fact, at least one player said he did not repeat on a game the whole night. Folks came from all over. Gwen made her first appearance in Jupiter. Sebastian brought a friend from Colombia!
There were a couple of confusing moments regarding score reporting which resulted in us adding 10 minutes of "extra time" to the tournament. We will perfect that in the next match. The games held up very well - only one machine taken out at the very end.
Apparently, working at Pinball Dudes is a big advantage! All three employees made the playoffs. And Lauren's dad showed big skill, too, to round out the Top 4. They went all '90s Williams in the playoffs, and in a thrilling tiebreaker it was Eric Francis with his first IFPA win!
