Yes I know there is a music sub but no one reads it.
If you don’t know me from my music background I have been playing music (guitar, bass. keyboards, crappy drummer) since I was little. I am and was a session and live performer in NYC, Nashville and elsewhere all through the 90s and beyond. Also a producer, audio engineer and Pro Tools guy.
The backstory: My band in the late 90s Steakhouse recorded a record that never really came out properly due to record label BS and the recession after the dot.com crash. (It came out but really wasn’t released properly or mixed well.)
Last year after a divorce I had some” free time” and decided to fix it up and have it remixed and mastered and finally put it out since I had been sitting on the tapes for years.
I enlisted the help of some A list Nashville based friends for mixing and mastering and did most everything else myself in my home studio (guitars, backing vocals, bass, keyboards, engineering, production). The guy who mastered this has a few Grammys and did the Kiss remasters, Steely Dan, Hank Williams on and on.
Check it out and if you don’t like I will refund your money if you send me a note telling me why you don’t like it or me for that matter lol. If you buy it and like it enough to want a better quality cd version of it email me and I can send a cd. I even have hi res 48/24 if you are an audio nerd.
It is on Itunes, Amazon, Spotify etc etc There is another band named Steakhouse who had a record out a few years ago so make sure you download the correct 2020 release with the painted bull logo.
https://www.amazon.com/Steakhouse/dp/B085LVTXG3/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=steakhouse+music&qid=1583976589&sr=8-5For people who are Kiss fans this features the fan favorite Ace Frehley (is your hair still long?)… at least it does until Gene Simmons sues me to take it down. Basically a song about Ace faking his own death and living in france and being asked to come back and save rock and roll from its current sorry state.
This was a lot of work and a labor of love to help keep me sane after my divorce.
Hopefully you enjoy it in the sprit intended as just music for music sake without any real commercial aim whatsoever (who the hell does that anymore?). real music recorded by actual live musicians. -T
