Thanks for the input everyone.
What weird since it fell out, car seems to squeak when backing up onto driveway and it feels like there is some "resistance" where there was none before backing up. This can't affect that can it?

squeaking could be from the strut. or 100 other things.

resistance would be from a bad caliper, or a bad e-brake or misadjusted e-brake. and 20 other things. it all depends on resistance in reverse, in gear, or just rolling down an incline.

someone is going to have to roll under it and check stuff. hopefully nothing rusted out in the suspension.

Off topic but I gotta ask, K7... What exactly does your handle stand for? I heard the old 90s group on the radio the other day K7 and their song "Come baby, come." I doubt it was from the group but maybe its a electronic symbol for a Relay or something from a schematic? Enlighten me bruh... LOL
