Aw man I like Pollo Tropical... not sure on their cuban though, id be scared to try it.

The grilled chicken and pork is pretty tasty there and their hot sauce is kickin.

Yah I stand by the Floridian unless they changed owners or something...

the mean old lady there watched that place like a hawk but I havent been in two years or more so not sure whats up now if its gone downhill.

It sounds like you have quite the discerning palate when it comes to Cuban sandwiches! Thanks for sharing your favorite spots. And thanks for the side note about the Frita Cubana at La Cocinita Cubana—it sounds like a delicious twist on the classic Cuban hamburger!

Best Cuban in Saint Petersburg is Bodegas on central ave next to Tropicana Field.

Simply Delicious is also a hidden gem om 9th ave north, however, gets shadowed by the Violet Stone next door since the guy from barstool sports reviewed there Philly steak. Lines around the block now. Unbelievable the power of a influencer!

Interesting.  Been there plenty of times, last Sunday as a matter of fact, but never had the Cuban.  I just tend to stay away from foods that don't necessarily seem in a restaurant's wheelhouse.

I really like the one at Box of Cubans in Gibsonton, next door to Lowe's.

The best one I've had is at the restaurant in the back of Latinos Fresh Market across from Home Depot in Valrico.

The hole in the wall, Las Olas Cafe in South Beach. Sliced in half lengthwise for some reason, but one of the best I've had.  And I've had a lot..
When in Fort Myers, visit The Pinball Asylum..."A Nice Place To Play Pinball."

Both those places are close by, will give them a try  :)
