Ceramic coating: worth it? Pros/cons?

Wondering what group consensus is on ceramic coating for vehicles.  I did it myself on my last car and it looked great and seemed to do a good job at protecting the paint but was very labor intensive to do right with prep and clay bar treatment, etc.  I’m thinking of hiring someone to do it.  Found one that will charge $250 for the full treatment with 7 year warranty.  Sounds cheap to me and my time and sweat is worth more than that.  Any thoughts?  Any cons to ceramic coating?  Planning to keep this car for a long time; it’s a brand new vehicle.  Thanks all!
