Wire strippers

Long story short I am a huge fan of high quality hand tools. I have purchased several types of wire strippers trying to find ones I really loved. I went through several brands/styles and finally settled on these:

I have been a fan of Knipex so when I saw these at a reasonable price (well reasonable for Knipex ) I thought I would give them a shot:

My review, by far the best wire strippers I have ever used. Long reach gets in tight spaces (just today used them on a insert light for my TAF) nice clean strip, no damage to the copper, can set the length of strip. They are just awesome all around. If you use wire strippers more than a few times a year would highly suggest trying these.

I do have a set of those, the thing that bothered me was you had to be very carful you landed the wire in the right slot to get a clean strip. These also would have been too bulky to strip the wire on my TAF without removing several components (wire that broke off connector was jumped from 1 socket to another about 2" apart).

BTW, thanks again for the NGG  , She is playing great and getting much love from the family. My 17 year old son has decimated all the high scores on the game.

You are correct about getting the Stripmasters into small spaces as they can be difficult to get them into tight places. They are best for bench top stripping. The good thing about them is that they are so precise and have been around for decades.

While not cheap, this pair has been through many projects, 12-28 gauge stripper with adjustable depth gauge.
