Nicktoons Nitro - GPU Help
« on: December 13, 2022, 04:47:45 PM »
I've revived a Nicktoons Nitro and need some help with the video card.

Power supply and GPU are toast so I replaced the power supply and all the GPUs I have on hand are incompatible(gdc-2005530518 error).

Does anyone have one of these or know which damned GPU I can use? Thanks in advance.

-Shaun

It’s been a while, but I would think an 8400 gs or something of that era would work.  If it’s anything like fast and furious, you need to reload the software with any video card changes.

Thanks for that and it’s the first card I tried. I have a few I keep on hand for the FnF, Drift and SB1.

FWIW, it's in an Optiplex 740 and I've tried two different Zotac 8400GS card.

I think the is a 7300GS used in earlier games, but I'm not sure.

Yessir. Each time I swap a card, I do a reinstall of v1.10, which is the final build IIRC.

Come to think about it,  I don't think its an nvidia card at all.  The last one I worked on had a DMS-59 video splitter, with 2 vga connectors which i've only seen on ATI based cards.  I would try a 3450 or some other low profile video card, maybe even a previous gen from that.

i have a pair of PX-628-DT GeForce 8400GS 512MB

don't think it will work. i have a pile of old video cards, but the only ones onhand
with dual vga outputs are listed above.

I found an ATI card in my box-o-gpu that it seems to like and I'm booted to the "Mission I/O Board" screen, which is what I would expect when testing on the bench.

Thanks for the assist.

Those might work in the FnF, Drift and SB1 games. Worth holding on to if you ever come across them. They're a pretty regular request for me.

Thanks for looking.

Here is a spreadsheet of all the parts I've test with the various Raw Thrills games I've worked on.
