The layout is the same than most of the Stern 3 flippers tables, but this one seems to have a few novelties, at least the prem.
I'm eager to play it!

seems like you should catch and flip the ball up the inlane, back down, catch ball, rinse. repeat.

this feature might kill this game in a tournament setup. only time will tell...i like the oddity of it.

from the video, pros appear loaded, and premium has a few nice touches and a necessary magnet.
the upper playfield. spinner and loop. won't be up there for long.
i would prefer a spinner in that trapped ball location, ala Tron.

i'll judge it when i play it. play videos/reviews/release videos never tell the complete story.

i am holding out for an ace-of-base pin it will be great, 10 songs on repeat forever

MSN article on the game mentions there is going to be custom callouts by Dave in the game, so it looks like it's just currently not in the code being previewed so far.  Did seem like there was audio missing so hopefully it's in the code by launch.

I think it looks pretty good.

I like that they added a alien invasion theme to it so it's not just another music pin where you tour the country or whatever. Now you tour the country and fight aliens lol! Hey it's something.

Art is good, looks like a lot of music tracks. Game looks like it has fun features and isn't gimpy like Led Zeppelin was.

My next pin should be a Godzilla but I would like to play this one.

I felt that Iron Maiden was pretty unique where it avoided the band aspect.  There are no pictures of the band on the playfield or backglass, no animations of the band, no concert footage, no collecting band members or putting the band back together, no collecting instruments, no special features for each band member etc.  In fact if people did not know Iron Maiden was a band, they might just think it is an undead creature engaged in various battles/adventures with a soundtrack-which I think was the whole point.

So premium has a molded van and spaceship while pro has flat plastics. Premium also has upper playfield.

I still hate this pro vs premium crap... 

You're also losing the death save post in the pro

the pro plays very nice:

it's a bit side drain heavy out of the box, only my opinion...and the ball lock's right target is a sucker shot, angled to put the ball right down the middle.

little tweeks will fix both issues with ease. and maybe i'm being picky

i have it with audio...we'll see if youtube pulls the video.

It seems quiet, I do imagine that means callouts are coming since it sounds like there is next to none in the game so far and just nothing but music.  It looks great, hoping they do have Dave or such add in some call outs eventually.

i upgrade speakers on every pinball i own...but i don't crank them up

callouts will improve with code, guaranteed.

mid-right side of the playfield, they have a kicker bumper: nice old school touch, and they utilize it well.

the flipper feed lane targets are a genius for design. but they are useless. you can't hit them.

well. i can't hit them. maybe you'll have your machine pitched 20 degrees to the left.

it's not ironman brutal, but you won't see any marathons on this title.
