I was just listening to The Poor Mans Pinball Podcast episode #533 and Albert was interviewing voice actor Marc Silk who mentioned he would be at IAAPA.  Maybe he will be at FPF as well?

I see FPF is listed on the Stern Pro Tour.  Looking forward to the tournaments as always.

Why the move to Lakeland?  I’m guessing to draw more from Tampa?

Orlando Venues are wanting to cater to more "banquet" style events, and the Hotel that was being use for the last few years booked the same weekend for the next 5 years to another event, so the options were to move to a venue that has the same weekend that everyone has grown to love, or we move to a new date away from IAPPA.

I know the Board is still looking to potentially move back to Orlando, IF a good venue is found that caters to the event.  There was one hotel, but the "parking" was non-existent, and the dates are not available in 2024.

The team also reviewed the geographical location of the game bringers, the majority for 2022 were from Tampa, Lakeland , Kissimmee, South Florida., the only outlier was Jacksonville and most of all those games came in 1 trip w/Steve.

It was discussed this with the game bringers at the end of the show last year and welcomed feedback, and the front desk was quietly getting feed back from ticket buyers, there was no overwhelming push back.

Personally, I avoid Orlando at all costs.  It's just so crazy to get around.  The majority of the people are from out of town and have no idea where they are going.  I look forward to the new venue and not having to deal with all the lost tourists.
