K7,  Stern does not number there games like that, and it will be for sale for 4100.00 after the party.
Someone may be taking it home with them.

Curly

I thought I read you would sell it for $4000.00 in the other thread.

Thanks to Curly and the party, we may be the first regular peeps to get to play, photograph and video IM.
Since the forum doesn't allow pics to be viewed without signing up, we're gonna have to put them on someone's personal website.

What time will you be unboxing it? I would love to take photos if I can?

If I was a betting man, I would bet on an unboxing and setup prior to the party day (if possible) to make sure that everything is working properly.  While it could be fun for the group to see the unboxing, the negative of a big line of guys waiting to play the game while Curly figures out an in-box issue outweighs the positive.  Plus, since the game is for sale (and likely to be sold that day) Curly may want to put a coat of wax on it or otherwise do some prep work to help the game make it through the party unscathed (although one day of constant use is not likely to hurt it).  But, only Curly knows his plans, so hopefully he will share them.

I will more then likely set it up before the day of the party, as Ron said, wax the playfield, and then cover it up until the party.  (NO PEEKING)  I will try to limit the play time for the new owner.  But all volunteers helping with the party will get first play prior to the start of the party.

I never thought of that!  This puts Curly in a tough spot.  I am sure more than one person will come with a check to purchase this machine.  If that transaction takes place, will we still be able to play it?  And how many games on it is too many??  I almost think Curly should not accept any payment until AFTER a certain time of the evening so everyone will get a chance to play it.  At the same time, I can not see this game being sold with anything less than 200 games on it by the end of the night thus maybe turning some people off!

Curly, please tell us your thoughts.  I will not play it if it means you will not be able to sell it.

Don't worry Leon, the new owner should be more then happy at 4100.00.  Thus it is like making 600.00 to loan it out for 6 hours ( 100.00 per hour ), I bet a vendor would like to make that kind of money.

I would also guess that the new owner will be happy to have a chance to play it prior to buying it, which has been difficult with some recent titles, at least in our part of Florida.  If I were the buyer, my suspicion is that I would figure that me and my friends would play it constantly for the first few weeks, so a bunch of games at Curly's place is not all the different than the use it would get at my house.  Plus it will get tested in an environment where a Stern distributor is there to fix anything that shows up in the initial uses.  A good deal for all, even given the potential for a fair number of games to be played.
