Flowers of a Killer Moon - It's like 4 damned hours long but it's pretty good. Wife is from OK so she was very interested in the story. It's typical Scorcese, if you like that sort of thing you'll have fun but probably a good one to watch over two sessions on a weekend.

Five Nights at Freddies - I'm only somewhat familiar with the games and I'm not the tweener audience for this. It was OK for a PG-13 horror movie. Starts off better than it ends, honestly it got less interesting after the puppets are revealed. There's no way this wasn't inspired by that Showbiz Pizza Rockafire Explosion documentary.

Hunger Games 15
- About what you'd expect. The biggest takeaway is the chick that plays Snow White that's been causing all the controversy can't act at all. It's like high school level play bad. Still, this isn't the worst Hunger Games movie from what I vaguely recall from the last few being terrible.. so there's that.

The Marvels - Lol, just kidding. Nobody saw this one.

Tiger 3 - It's more over the top Hindi action! Seriously these moves are stupid but fun. I enjoyed it. Some of the best action scenes I've seen in years. Great movie for Diwali this year

Thanksgiving - Was really prepared for a balls to the wall schlock fest given it's Grindhouse trailer roots but man this movie sucks. It couldn't decide if it wanted to be campy fun or a serious horror movie so it just ended up being a lame Scream style yawn fest with boring characters and about 35 seconds of gore over its 100 minute runtime.

Allot of these I avoided just because of run time. Pretty sick of movies with no editor.

I agree on Thanksgiving but you kinda knew what you were going to get... I sat through it and it was fine for what it was.

I do have a ticket for the new Godzilla so that one I am looking forward too because reviews are actually decent.

Be curious if you check out Dream Scenario what you think... one of those movies that is totally enjoyable, until it's not.

Its precisely how long it has to be to insert one character of each and every race, size and gender into whatever bullshit plot they come up with.  :P

I was hoping Thanksgiving was going to be insane fun but it turned out to be just kinda limp. It really needed to figure out what kind of movie it wanted to be and lean into it instead of just trying to be too many things at once and not being particularly good at any of them.

We're excited about Godzilla -1 or 0 or whatever next week. I'm sure this relatively low budget Japanese movie will be better than any of the $200m+ Hollywood ones they've spewn out last few years. It's amazing how much creativity trumps budget.

As for Dream Scenario that's a tough one.. it's A24 which means it could be good like Everything all at once or it could just be pretentious bullshit like most of their films. It's going to be a busy few weeks so it will depend on reviews.. but even that's tough as most reviewers are too afraid to call out the pretensious bullshit and just say its great even if they didn't understand it either.

I don't know why anyone would want more of that movie but to each his own.

And lose a few hundred million in the process.

I'd recommend it... pretty low key performance from Cage for a change.

It's a unique concept and well done it just kind of goes off the rails toward the end IMO.

One of those where you think its over but it keeps going for another 20 minutes but probably shouldn't (at least to me).

I'd maybe even see it again just to make sure I didn't miss something there... that guy Kermode who does decent reviews online said the same thing so its not just me.
