There was a similar project for the C64 called 'DL64' but it appears all videos for it have been scrubbed (the screenshot above is from it). Perhaps for licensing infractions.

Anyway even though these are somewhat of a 'cheat' as they are using modern storage to make the game possible, it's interesting to see what people have been doing with ole Dirk and Singe.

At the end of the day if your system can string together animation frames its very possible but it doesn't take away from the fact that the Gameboy Color isn't much more powerful than a NES but it still has an animated port of Dragon's Lair.

Oh god... that EGA/CGA color pallet. They always throw in those horrible shades of purple & turquoise, even when black & white would have been preferable.

When I got my first PC that was one of the first games I bought. I had to special order it as it was already hard to find in the early 90s.

As the review says, it suuuucks. I couldn't get passed the whirlpool level for some reason. The controls were completely screwed up.
