Yes! After a long hiatus we are back at the Pinball Dudes in Jupiter for a Jaws launch party tournament! Experience Stern's latest creation as well as the Pinball Dude's constantly changing selection of new and used machines. While you are there, why not find one you like to buy and take it home! The tournament has been approved by the IFPA and is listed on their calendar. Special thanks to wildeboutpins, K7 & the rest of the Pinball Dudes team for allowing us to host this special event, I know many players are looking forward to coming back to the Dudes for a tournament.
DATE: Saturday, April 6 2024
DOORS OPEN: 9:30 AM
START: 10 AM
FORMAT: Group match play, 7531 scoring, we will play as many rounds as we can prior to a stated time, minimum 4 hours of play (could be longer) so no matter how well (or not so well) you play, you are guaranteed to play all qualifying rounds, at least 4 hours.
FINALS: We may or may not have a finals, this will depend on some logistical timing issues with the venue. If there isn't a finals, finishing order will be determined by the cumulative total points accrued during the qualifying match play rounds. This will be determined and announced during the opening remarks immediately prior to starting the tournament.
TROPHIES: Supercool customized Jaws themed trophies to the Top 4 players.
ENTRY FEE: $15 includes all games (no coin drop / free play all day!)
PARKING: Free, plenty available in the lot in front.
PRACTICE: There won't be much time for practice prior to the start therefore you may practice between rounds. As is their policy, you are also welcome to drop by the Pinball Dudes during normal weekday business hours to practice free of charge.
FOOD/DRINK: While there will be no food, we will have plenty of complimentary bottled water. Bring your own food/snacks if you need to eat. If you bring anything else to drink please note that no alcohol is permitted in the store.
GAMES LIST: Because their inventory is constantly changing, we are unable to provide a definitive game list. However, you are welcome to check the store's ebay listings, Andrew's friday walk-through video (if available) or drop by the Dude's store prior to tournament day. We will have all era's of games in the arena list. Games that have an issue or some LE's may not be included or available for play.
