Foo Fighters ball launch alignment
« on: April 13, 2024, 03:02:14 PM »
Anyone have any tips on this?  It only launches up and around the ramp about half the time, if that.  It either hits the UFO ball or the post on the other side of the ramp.

I've tried:

  • Adjusting the shooter lane guide to both extreme settings and anywhere inbetween
  • Reducing/increasing auto-launch power
  • Reducing pitch of the game (currently at around 6.8 )
  • Ensured auto-launcher is tightly secured to the playfield, checking the torque on the nuts

There has to be some way to get it to launch fairly consistently.   :(

On some Spike2 games the shooter lane might be a little too wide and it could bounce from side to side.  Godzilla has this issue.  You can try to narrow the shooter lane with some adhesive felt or there are 3D printed options or even metal strips sold on pinside that narrow the shooter lane.  I used adhesive felt and it helps for GZ.

Is this where a "PinDefender" would help do you think?  Could you share a pic of what you did on GZ? I'm struggling to picture it.

Thanks!
