Well this is HEP doing it, so I'm assuming it is the best way to make the edges look good. Anyone try this yet?

No...I am no expert, but I have sanded down, primed, painted a couple of cabinets. I see he used black gloss paint, but I don't get why he sanded down the cabinet before putting the decal on?  Maybe to give the decal something to grab?
Current Pins: Cyclone, Hurricane, Firepower (our first pinball - We love this pin and want to totally restore it)

Current Projects: Joker Poker

Past pins: Cue Ball Wizard, The Who's Tommy, Jurassic Park, Bay Watch, Gilligan's Island, Night Moves, etc.

Sorry, thought I thought the link would jump to the time 11:50. He doesn't cut the decals at the corners, he sands them away,

At the end he says he refinishes the edges.  So the sanding must make a clean flat edge then he somehow paints the edges.  Not sure I would do this with a repaired old cab when the edges may have some epoxy or bond on them to fill splits and stuff.  Could crack it off and then your skrewwwwwed since the decal is on already.  Could do it with a new cab though.

Side decals on first then cut the fronts clean.  I have used a paint pen on some corners of old & new cabinets to cover imperfections, seem to do that less nowadays.
