Here’s where I would start and in this order. The fact that it worked intermittently has me leaning towards one of the first 3 issues:
1. Check coil stop (probably not it, but worth a look);
2. On Node 8, connector CN 8, check for a loose wire by tugging on drive pin 6 orange/yellow wire and 48V pin 2 gray/orange (although pins 1, 2, 3 and 4 are all gray/orange it would be the 2nd gray/orange wire in from one of the ends);if loose, it may simply need reinserting in the connector or the crimp contact may need to be replaced if the little nub that secures the crimp contact into the connector is damaged/missing;
3. Reseat connector CN5 on power distribution board and reseat the intermediate connector in the cabinet between the power distribution board and the playfield (this is what was wrong with pinballcorpse’s IMLE when everyone thought it was a node board);
4. Swap Node 8 and Node 9 (make sure to readdress the dip switches); if this is the issue, the spinner up post should cease to work and the flipper should work; replace the node board (simply replacing Q6 may not fix the issue depending on what’s fried).
