So Spectrum has been dogshit at my parent's place for years. They're not getting all the TV channels they pay for, and Spectrum is never able to fix the problem.
I suspect it's because they had a TIVO (with lifetime service) which required a cable card, and Spectrum seems to hate that, they want people to pay monthly for their DVR instead.
More recently, after the hurricanes, they've had no service at all and Spectrum doesn't seem to be in a hurry to do anything about it.
So I'm looking into other options for them - Frontier fiber optic is in their area, the internet options seem fine, they offer home phone service too, but the only TV option they've got is YouTube TV. The channel lineup looks OK, mostly the same as regular cable, but it's all digital and over the internet, uses up some/most of your bandwidth, etc.
Anyone used this and have opinions on how well it works, the "cloud" DVR they offer, etc.?
This is in the Tampa area but just outside the city limits. Hillsborough county.
