Space shuttle issues
« on: June 04, 2025, 05:50:45 PM »
A friend sent me a video of his Space Shuttle-  He can start a game, flippers work, then randomly flippers die and ball drains.  Lights are still working- flashing.  All score displays are still lit up.
The MPU is not original- it is a Rottendog MPU9211

Any suggestions on where to look?

Does it advance to next ball and work right after? Have him do it with glass off so he can catch the ball and set aside, have him hold a flipper button IN and tap on the flipper enable relay z1 on the cpu and wiggle J19 id suspect a bad ground thru the relay first as it cycles between balls and resets itself. If that doesnt work have him jump j19 on cpu 1 or 2 to ground while holding a flipper button in this will bypass the relay and prove its faulty

It this scenario with no flippers he can meter dc on a flipper coil lug to ground if he has it its the ground side.
