Well, my comment was directed to anyone in particular...but seeing as how you jumped at the chance, apparently you took issue. I gave you a fair price for me to put my hands on the game, and you said you'd do it yourself...I didn't know I was supposed to call you and beg you to let me do it for free. I was supposed to grab those cabinets for Mick from prOk that day, but they weren't finished...something I WAS doing for Brian, but that doesn't concern you.
First, you were asking me to move a pin...much like everyone else I move pins for. Where I am before and after the delivery, is nobody's business...it's about moving a game from point A to point B. Each delivery is priced accordingly. If I ran around the state all weekend doing this for $16 a game, I'd stop doing it before I left the driveway. And it isn't just the fuel cost...it's my time, vehicle wear-and-tear, tires, oil change, insurance, etc. The government says roughly $.45/mile...you do the math.
If I run from home to pickup a pin from Orlando and deliver it to Tampa and come home, I burn a tank of gas. A tank of gas is $80. So I gotta charge that person at least $100. That pretty much makes 8 hours of my time worth $20. You wanna do it for me?
So...the theory is, if I get 2 people in on the route and charge $60/game, both people save and I feel like my time is worth something. I don't feel I'm gouging people here...and most of the time I'd rather be at home working on MY games. I feel I've met a lot of nice collectors this way, and I think most people are satisfied with my rates...I'm sorry you are not. Most people think it's great that they can do whatever they need to do around the house on a given Saturday, and I show up with their new pin/vid for $60. But since you were going to Jeff's with Mick anyway, I guess that makes that aspect pointless. You and one other member are the only people that have ever said that $60/game was out of line...and that's fine...you don't have to use my service. I'm not Santa Clause, nor do I claim to be.
I appologize to the community that has to read this...it's not my intent to alienate anyone. I simply chose this opportunity to explain where my pricing comes from. And since most people on USHIP.COM aren't gonna do anything for under $100, I think I'm being pretty fair since I've been moving games for over 20 years.
