You've got PM.

Your game could be completely trashed inside, can't guarantee a fix but for goodness' sake at least set aside two weeks before you pop for Rottendogs/etc. and TRY. It could be really simple and easy.

The game looks extremely clean on the inside to be honest. I was looking at everything last night and nothing is hacked/modded yet. The original battery has to come off though! no battery acid damage yet, but looking at the battery mod it doesn't say where some wires come from/goto *if you look at picture it looks like 2-4 different wires are hacked to make that work*

Guys yall are starting to loose me, but I want the easiest, fastest, best way to be able to start playing this thing.
I think those three are mutually exclusive  ;D

Like I said earlier, there are lots of camps and opinions on cleaning and waxing.  You just have to weigh things out for yourself for the first time around and if you're not pleased with the results try something different.  All my cleaning/waxing so far has either been on a diamond coat Bally/Williams WPC, a mylared System 3 Gottlieb, or a mylared Bally 6803.  Two rounds of Novus followed by two rounds of Kit Wax has given me fine results so I'll stick with it for those type of games and try it when I get around to Genie.

Right now though, I'd suggest you put cleaning and waxing aside.  Get the game going reliably and enjoy playing it a bit while you do some research.  A few more days or even weeks of play won't make a big difference as long as you get a new ball on the playfield.  Especially if the one in the game now is in bad shape.

Yeah from my research I am guessing this thing only has one nut *guess the other was surgically removed back in the 80's*, but looks to be in good shape.

I am just worried about the ball getting stuck on that damn pop bumper on the top left corner. That is why I was wanting to wax it ASAP after getting it going.

Just two wires involved with the battery mod.  The board and/or the old battery should have +/- marked.  Just match up the two wires on the new pack properly after you remove the old battery.

That area sounds like a good spot to do some test cleaning and see what you think of the results.  Since you already have Meguiars give it a shot since you want quick  ;D

"Jeff, BRO, what are you talking about?!?!? Novus is miraculous if you rub it dry...it does what other products simply cannot...dull and nasty to glassy GLEAM...wax cannot do what it does to the extent it does it...I don't get why you're dissing it?!?! "

He asked, I answered.  This is the method I use.  I realize I'm going against the grain.  Everyone does different stuff...check RGP and you'll have a thousand people telling you to use Novus...others say Millwax...others will call you an idiot for using one or another.  I gave the method I've found works incredibly nice for me, and my results and thoughts after seeing Novus, leaving a residue, the dirt on my WHITE cloths shows that pretty clearly. I dare to try different things, these waxes/ CLEANERS have worked fantastic for me (it's a "cleaner/wax" remember, not just a typical wax, you'll discover).  I've used Maquire's for years on my 10k wood guitars and 10k cars, figured it MIGHT just work on my wood pinballs also...it does.  Try it for YOURSELF before rejecting it flatly, what harm is there...really?  If you don't like it don't use it. Simple as that. Advice...take it or leave it.  On bare wood playfields, do you think you want to use something more abrasive or something a little gentler?  It's up to you.  Spanks, TRY it...do yourself a favor. You're bare and totally DRY playfield spots will be smooth as glass in a few minutes, run your finger over it after you try a small spot and you'll see 100% difference.

Matt, got your email for TT...not plugging in any games today since we're in the middle of a storm here.  We can do the phone walk thru another day though, maybe on the weekend.

Yes that stuff Ray.

I am guessing I would squirt a little on a rag, kind of work it into the wood, let it sit for a few minutes, come back and wipe it off? I have to go back and read jeff's post on that stuff.

Yes, that's the stuff.  Yes just wipe it on with a rag, wipe off after a few minutes...just like you'd wax anything else. Don't be afraid of it, it's just wax...I've used it on every one of my pins, and they're still standing...it's not acid!  I put a few coats on, rub/buff  as needed when wiping it off, it will leave a very nice and smooth playfield and shine.

Guess what people. I said guess dangit!

I went home, shorted out C2 on the CPU board and yes guess who has played several games flawlessly over the past 30 minutes??

The side bumpers right above the flippers seem a little week. Definately need some new balls and to wax this thing. I was thinking of putting black light bulbs in though so it will glow in my house at night.

Also the left flipper button keeps sticking for some weird reason. Anyways off to call Matt and play some more.

I am planning on it Ray give me two seconds hehe.

I am curious about something though. The left sling shot *above flipper* has what I would call a repell thing to shoot the ball off, but the thing above the right flipper only has a touch sensor. How hard would it be to install a repell piece in that sling bank for better game play?

I played several games and kicked some ass, but is this machine supposed to have a multi-ball thing or just the Knocker? From time to time it sounds like it is trying to kick out another ball or something.

Speaking of which can I buy some new pinballs from someone here?

Sounds like the kicker for the right sling is missing or possibly hanging loose under the playfield.  Yet another reason to get us some detailed pics of the game from both above and below the playfield.

I just did a quick read of the instruction card on ipdb.org and didn't see any mention of multiball.  It might be that you have an oversensitive switch causing a coil to fire somewhere away from the ball or a short somewhere.  My Flash Gordon would always fire off one of the pop bumpers when I hit one of the standup targets.  I put a small piece of weather stripping pad behind the standup and fixed the issue, but it makes the standup require a firmer hit to register.  Still needs some tweaking.

PM me your addy and I'll send you a used ball or two (still in good shape) to get you started.  You probably should start putting together a pinball order for someplace like Pinball Life or Pinball Resource.  Pretty sure you're gonna need some stuff sooner rather than later.

The backglass is sitting under the machine right now, but here is the rest of it except for the under field.
