I used these from Home Depot and they worked great.  Walls and door covered.

On my garage doors I used Radiant berrier from Lowes. Its sold in rolls and can be cut and applied with Gorilla Glue. Gorilla Glue will not eat thru the material. I did my research. My garage doors are operational and can be raised when needed. This blocks out the direct heat and sunlight on the outside of my garage doors.

I added the silver tape to seal the edges. Works great.

I did not need the foam approach but could if it was necessary, but not needed.

Good luck.
