Looks great!

I don't think I've watched an episode of The Munsters in about 30 years or more though.

For me, definitely going to wait to play it first. I am wondering how it is going to feel and play with 2 sets of flipper buttons. The lower buttons seem too low *visually*. Maybe it feels different in person.

With a game like Family Guy that had the same mini pinball concept, it was possible to stage flippers on the 2 playfields, using one set of buttons so your “flipping fingers” didn’t change, AND your finger position didn’t change.

With an entirely separate set of buttons, if both playfield are active at once, for me, I don’t know how that is going to work without seeming like a double flipping chimp. Again, this will be answered for me when I play it.

Visually the games all look great IMO.

For me, it basically means 4 buttons 4 flippers, so a new level of gameplay and a new level of coordination skill. Sounds like a great innovation, better than the lock bar button. These piano lessons I took will finally be of use :D

Is it the 1st pinball with a double set of buttons for flippers? I played RFM recently, it has 4 buttons, but the extra ones are not used for flippers. This post lists the pinballs with extra buttons, but none of them seems to actually control extra flippers: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/games-with-extra-flipper-buttons

You do not ever appear to play both playfields at once, which makes me think more of this being like Gottlieb Haunted House. So I am betting they might have been thinking of both playfields at once at some point then abandoned the idea somehow. During the live stream some players did not read the screen which told them to use the other two buttons, so they lost a whole lot of scoring just watching the ball pop in and out of the lower playfield.

Actually it seems that at some point you can have a multiball on both at the same time: https://pinside.com/pinball/forum/topic/munsters-is-coming/page/87

Yup, during the 4hr stream I saw Zach get both playfields going simultaneously one time.

The lower playfield is timed like AC/DC, so even if it takes a moment to the find the buttons, it just keeps kicking the ball back out of the drain.  If you hit the lit shots on the lower PF, you then get 2 ball timed play.

have to agree 100% on this. software is advanced enough to NOT have 2 sets of flipper buttons. wouldn't surprise me to have an option to have main buttons
used exclusively for both upper/lower playfields.

that lower button location is so awkward for a player's use...even if just moving fingers to play the lower playefield.  i had a virtual pinball with the flipper buttons placed
where the lower ones are on this picture. i ordered buttons that actuallly fit the stock pinball btton location, notched the HDTV frame, and game play went up 1000%
by just doing that simple modification.

I eventually would like to own one of these as it fits my theme nicely!

I stand corrected on the multi-flipper thing. Dwight Sullivan tried to demonstrate it, but it looked a little difficult to do. I did like the concept of holding down both buttons to execute a Super Skill Shot.

One tremendous oversight in this pinball is Herman's laugh. WHERE IS IT? Fred Gwynne's laugh was a big part of the show. When he laughed it was almost impossible not to laugh along with him.

I have never in my life bought a game brand new in the box.
This one looks like a good one to begin with.
The youtube "reveal" @ two hours long got a bit tiresome but watching the game play was worth it.
The lower "mini playfield" seems to be a must and the LEs are, of course, all sold out so I guess the "professional" model will be the one for me and not the "pro".
Glad to be able to see opinions of others comparing this new Stern with others and I grew up watching the Munsters when first shown in its Prime Time "glory" and liked it better than the original Addams Family series - not sure if this pin stands up to the much older Addams Family and would appreciate hearing opinions about a comparison.

TAF pinball is a classic game. Very straightforward game, attainable Wizard mode with a good art/sound/light package. Some of the most recognizable callouts and sequences in pinball.  I’ve owned mine for about 19 years. It just does not get old for me.

It’s hard to say if Munsters or any Stern will have that type of staying power. The closest would be LOTR for me at 16 years.  Iron Man is another game that is not going anywhere.

Anyway new pinball is always fun :)

TAF and MB are the monsters themed grails. From what I've seen, Munsters & TAF have a very different gameplay. I would rather compare it to MB, the 2 playfields are really similar. And as MBr came out recently, that can be an hard choice to make between those 2.

Does anyone have a good educated guess as to when in March the premium might come out and if the game might get pushed back into April?
