Pin guys, have some questions?
« on: January 09, 2020, 07:44:50 PM »
I'm not a pin guy & I have someone (not me) potentially looking for a Harley Davidson pinball. After doing a quick search I see there's 3 different runs.
Does anyone know what's the best/or more favorite one, reliability? Individual prices on the different 3? and finally anyone have one for sale? thank you for your help!

Best bet is to check with the brick and mortar places like Pinball Dudes and Little Shop of Games and see if maybe they have one you could swing by and play.

What the pinball players say won't be as important as how *you* feel about playing the game :)

Good luck on the quest!

sega's last game. harley davidson. then stern took the name over, and released the same sega game as Stern's harley davidson (black trim), then ran it again, Sterns' harley davidson 2nd edition(chrome trim, 600 units), and then released it AGAIN, harley davidson 3rd edition (chrome trim,300 units).
they all play the same. good game for a harley fan, got a bit boring for me, gameplay wise.

reliability is equal across all 4 versions. i think they modded 1 mechanism over all 4 runs, and swapped out some bike models.

the bally midway harley davidson is pretty MEH.

we're retail, so take these and reduce about 20% if you look around. and...condition, condition, condition sets the price.

bally midway harley, $1900+/-. i think we sold ours for $2600.
sega harley, same as the 1st stern harley - $2700 to $3000ish +/-, pure guess. have not sold this version.
stern harley, version 2 or 3, $3000 - $3300 due to the chrome trim. i think the shop got $3500 for our chrome, version 3.

there are anomalies. i've seen the midway harley for $800 bucks, and the stern/sega version for under $2000. a title i didn't want, and those prices were before the B O O M. :)
