John Romero game designer Doom Quake etc

Not sure if anyone else here is or was a DOOM or Quake fan.

John Romero (co-founder of ID, designer of DOOM and Quake etc) does zoom calls…. you can buy that and other stuff on romero.com

Sort of like a meet and greet at a show except he will actually hang out and talk for 15 min or however long you book.

Can ask him whatever you want… I did it for fun and would recommend it, worth the $$ IMO, not often you can shoot the shit with the designer of one of the all time great games.

I spent a crazy amount of time playing Doom and Quake multiplayer back in the day.. still a Slayer level player on Doom 2016 from time to time if you'd like me to chainsaw you sometime.  :P

he was a big apple and C64 programmer back in the day. Definity paid his dues.

Ha, nice... yah, he deeply regrets that attempt at "advertising" (as he should).

He's a good dude.. I would think for anyone who is a programmer or interested in game programming would be cool to talk to him.

I gave up IT work years ago so I couldn't go into the weeds with him on tech shit. Best I had was telling him how I spent more time getting Doom multiplayer to run on a Novell network than doing my actual job in 94.
