Went to Lowes yesterday for salt bleach and pool stabilizer. Running my salt system wide open now (generating chlorine) will add a ton of bleach (chlorine) if we lose power to keep it from turning into a swamp. Will need to add salt and stabilizer after all the rain (pool will overflow).

it's sad when a hurricane is blamed for deaths, and not human stupidity:

I really wish I was down there with you guys.  It's nerve racking to have all my family and friends in Tampa and not be home to help prepare.  You'll all be in my wife and my thoughts.  Stay safe.

If you're able to get cell reception after the power goes out, here's TECO's outtage map.

After listening to all the news channels all day, repeating blah blah blah, I thought I'd break it up some...

Lol, oh well... you got the point.  ;) We still own our home down there in Valrico and my parents and inlaws both have there homes (Brandon and Valrico respectively).  It's nerve racking because mine are in their late 70s and inlaws in thier late 60s and we're not home to help them prep.  It wouldn't be as bad waiting if we could be active doing something to help.

Pretty amazing this thing is gonna be a Cat 1 well inside Georgia.  I have a friend who evacuated to Atlanta from Jax.  He should have stayed in Jax.

Just to ease your mind, this is the most prepared hurricane ever, and everyone is helping each other.  Neighbors are coming out of the woodwork and giving a helping hand, which is the way it use to be long ago.  My brother tried to board up his windows with what he had, and left to help another elderly, and when he came back, his house was redone with hurricane shutters by a neighbor.  So, hopefully your kin will be in good hands...

Good luck out there on the west coast we sure dodged it here in the east. I think other than those near the coast you will be alright. If you are really close to the water hope you left :-)

Any reports west coast and south Florida as of now 8AM Sunday?

In Brevard already windy with patches of rain and will progressively get worse as the day goes on into the night and early tomorrow morning.

Thanks Bob.

I am texting with Chris (k7) and he says his power is sporadic and was trying to upload some video but having issues.

Windy and rainy there too.  Reports coming in most of the heavier rain and thunderstorms are north of this storm.
