Damn!  They are predicting CAT 3/4 now.  Don't think I've been through one of those.

Mikes Weather Page has it making landfall around the Orlando area, but also says it could turn north and skirt up the coast.

The Cape is now offering outside 1st class seats for $50 to watch it pass over your head and come ashore.  Restraining straps, food and drinks included.  2nd class seating inside the bunkers are $500.  Better hurry and reserve your seats now before they run out.  I'm sure it will be a great show to watch, and you'll never forget being in the eye of one.

Since I am renting this year and sold my house Im not going anywhere hurricane or not.

Ill pick up a football helmet and some beers at walmart and ride it out.

Yeah it never surprises me how little we really know about the weather. Last hurricane that hit close they didn't know where it was going to hit even an hour before it hit. All they know is general locations and even that they won't know until about 12 hours out.

+1 to this. 12 hours before landfall, all networks are claiming on IRMA:

"you're going to die, southeast florida. run up the highways to georgia, with no gas available, to save yourselves. god is coming. god is coming."

hits naples.

jeanne is my favorite hurricane. sits in the ocean for 3 days doing loops, then goes for pt. st lucie...not 1 prediction mapped that one out even close.

I am sick of the local news stirring panic when there is an upcoming storm.  I tried to watch something last night and 1/4 of the TV was a picture of where they are tracking Dorian to hit over the weekend.

Then when it hits we will get the obligatory weathermen standing outside in the storm.  This one is my favorite:

buy gas last tuesday. $2.21 a gallon, no lines, used to the bvllsh1t of hurricane season...so now, telling wife to skip work on friday. don't waste my gas.

it's gonna rain. free water.  everyone treats these things like it's The End. 30 miles out of the eye, you get an afternoon shower.

I've had my shit for a month, but it is what it is.

I don't like to keep multiple 5-gallon jugs of gas just lying around.  When I know something is coming I fill them up.  If I know there are going to be fuel shortages, I keep my cars topped off rather than waiting until I'm at 1/4 of a tank.  So of course, the gas stations are going to be busier.

gang  please unplug ur games.  power fluxuations are going to happen.  take the 5 or 10 mins to do it.  if its unplugged its way harder to get zapped.  even if u have a great surge protector or insurance.  less time to unplug than to deal with the headache.
